Course: Building Vocabulary

Course: Building Vocabulary Through “NewsTime”(Focus: Pre-School/SPED)

Vocabulary is an essential part of any language in order to communicate more accurately and more precise. It is important to build a large database of vocabulary since young.  Language is best learnt by using it. Often children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder or autism do not have the same opportunities as their typical peers to use language.

Learn Live Hope

Learners with an Autism Spectrum Disorder or autism often use language for protesting and requesting, but may have difficulty developing and using language above this level. If we want our children to make more complex sentences to comment, understand/give directions and ask/answer questions, we need to teach expanded vocabulary.
