Course Description

Teaching speech skills to children with autism can present many challenges.
This workshop aims to help participants overcome these challenges by empowering them with the knowledge and skills to effectively teach children with autism to speak.
Participants will also be taught practical ideas and strategies to help facilitate the systematic development of speech in children with autism.
This workshop will focus on helping participants to:

 

Wh59 Get children with autism ready to speak
Wh59 Understand and follow the steps for developing speech
Wh59 Use key daily routines for developing speech

 

Objectives of The Course
 

Upon completion of the training workshop, participants will be able to:

Wh70 Understand the pre-requisite skills for speech development and how to develop these
Wh70 Understand the speech development hierarchy
Wh70 Apply daily speech facilitation routines
