If you are new to the world of autism and wanted to know more about what is autism, this is an essential course to attend. It will cover the basic knowledge of autism that you will need to know.
The Fundamentals of Autism workshop aims to increase participant awareness through an introduction to Autism and the “Culture of Autism”. It is particularly relevant to parents/caregivers and professionals who would like to have an overview on the topic of Autism.

Course Description
Participants will acquire a fundamental understanding of:
common facts and myths related to autism | |
how autism may affect the individual’s experiences and behavior | |
intervention and support needs of individuals with an Autism Spectrum disorder | |
practical intervention strategies that work |
Objectives of The Course
Upon completion of the training workshop, participants will be able to:
appreciate the different ways in which individuals with autism perceive the world | |
be aware of the different ways in which individuals with autism learn |

understand the reasons behind the difficulties faced by individuals with autism in learning, social interaction and communication |
