Course: Coaching Social Play Skills (Focus: Primary School)
Play forms an important part of a child’s learning and social development.
Most children, including children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), love to play with other children. The difference is that for children with ASD, play does not come naturally to them; they have to be taught play skills.
Sometimes, children with autism seem not to want to play with other children. This is because they do not know how to play with other children, not because they do not want to. They have to be taught how to play with other children.
